Blame

Blame

“Blame cannot take place without judging. Blame cannot be resolved
without forgiveness.” – Timothy Victor

Blame is a dark cloud that follows us around until we make the
decision to forgive ourselves or others.

This cloud that follows us around may have formed above us, when we
were a child. That has followed us around for years, blaming
ourselves, others, or others blaming us. So often this cloud starts
forming as we fall short of meeting the expectations of others.

Or even worse, not meeting the expectations we place on ourselves.
This cloud may form when we have a difficult time conforming to
society. It is a challenge not everyone is equipped for. Not everyone
easily makes this transition from grammar school, from high school,
from college to society. Like it or not, we all need to somehow adapt
to each phase of belonging in society.

There is a great deal of stress, we all must somehow adapt to. This is
a major reason why so many of us choose to self medicate with alcohol
or street drugs. Or any number of addictions, Or using prescription
drugs as a crutch to deal with depression and anxiety.

This dark cloud of blame often suffocates us. Where we live in a
confusion of feeling disconnected. Feeling empty or even lost. This
scenario describes the life of millions of us. Good people who blame
themself, blame someone else, or who are blamed. Whatever the
scenario, living a life of being crippled by guilt and, or shame.

Forgiveness is for our benefit. It removes a burden we may have been
carrying around for years.
