1. What is An Angel Told Me So about and why did you write it?
An Angel told Me So is the first of three volumes of a collection of messages and teachings dictated directly from spirit teachers, from the other side, through my mother Wilma Jean Jones over a period of twenty-two years. Many of these messages have been signed with the name of the spirit teacher presenting the message. These spirit teachers, which are the same beings as angels, repeatedly refer to themselves in first person. “We feel, we believe, we advise.” “Our view encompasses more than your view is permitted.” “We hear the spirit cries above the words you speak.”
These messages and teachings were initially given as personal messages to Wilma Jean and myself. As these messages continued over the years higher teachers started moving in presenting more general teachings. These messages became deeper and more profound. However, these messages appear to be woven with a universal thread. Many who have read these messages have said. “This sounds like what I am dealing with. This sounds like they are talking to me.”
I wrote this book and the two volumes to follow as these messages and teachings are too relevant and profound not to share. These messages are proof, real proof, of the existence of a spiritual realm, on the other side of this physical plane.
2. Can anyone receive messages from the spiritual realm, or is this gift exclusive to certain individuals? If anyone can, why is it easier for some people than others?
Each of us is born with the innate ability to receive and communicate with our own spirit teachers. We are spoken to on a daily basis with advice, guidance, direction, and support. Some may believe this is just their imagination or their conscience. It is so much more.
Having an open mind is key to differentiating between thoughts that we think and thoughts that are incoming from our spirit teachers. Incoming thoughts have a different feel in our minds. It is a subtle difference but once recognized opens the door to direct communication with our spirit teachers.
3. What advice would you offer to someone looking to develop their ability to connect with the spiritual realm?
And, how can they do this safely?
Recognize that our spirit teachers have been assigned to us to help us along our way in this existence. Their joy is in our recognition of their existence. They can only accomplish on this physical plane through us.
As you quiet your mind and reach out to connect with your own spirit teachers, establish a filter or aura of protection. Affirmations are the best way to establish this filter. You may be given an affirmation or you may choose to use this one. “Let no thoughts, ideas, or information be made known to my mind that does not come from God or His direct representatives.”
4. How can we determine the authenticity of the messages we receive from the other side?
Not everyone will receive from their own spirit teachers in the form of messages. Most will receive guidance, direction, and support. In thought they will be advised as various choices in life are presented to them. It is up to the individual to decide if the information being received is beneficial to their journey or if their own choice and desires are the better choice is any given situation. As the Bible says, “Test the spirit.”
5. What is the best way for newcomers to this concept to protect themselves from negative energies or influences?
Each of us has our own individual thought system. It is like our own personal mini solar system circulating within our minds. We each have the ability to accept or reject any thoughts, ideas, or information that may come into our minds. Developing the discipline to establish a positive environment in our thought system is essential in formatting a mental environment that allows no negative energy or influence to permeate our thought system.
6. How do the teachings in this book address common fears related to death and the unknown?
The spiritual realm exists adjacent to this physical plane. We are separated from this spiritual realm by a veil? A vibration? A frequency? We don’t really know the medium that separates this physical plane from the spiritual realm. We are born with the innate ability to communicate with our spirit teachers in the spiritual realm. This open line of communication is our assurance that there is nothing to fear when we cross over.
7. Can you share a particularly moving or personal story from the book that highlights the transformative power of these messages?
This message received in Volume One of an Angel told Me So from my spirit teachers advised and highlighted all that was expected of me as I have chosen to dedicate my life in this work. These spirit teachers reveal what is to come and the role I will play. I accept without hesitation.

Consider this. You are entitled to the choice between influence and persuasion and abilities to perceive truth. When you are given directions, know that by this very act there are those behind you who are consciously aware of your being and your purpose and your need of their correct instructions. We come to you bearing good tidings. There are difficult explanations. We will do our best to be understood. Complex situations present themselves. Divinities now appear. There will be great teachers and instructors. Now we heed the call. Calm follows the storm. Perplexities cease. Obvious circumstances control your being. Exact statements will be given. Tact must be incurred. Possible solutions now are in sight. Power is available. Initiative prevalent. Light revealed. Conscious awareness open to enable insight now being revealed. Stipulate your intentions. Consider all alternatives. Revelations will come. Forward progress will avail much. Teach. Reconcile your thoughts to enable you to use that which has been given to you tonight. You are able to now walk over the threshold that awaits you and enter into a dimension that will enable you to become great beings and great interpreters of divine endeavors with divine instructors and to travel with those who have walked beside you all along; to enter now into that place which holds many great wonders and revelations that will thrill your very being and enable you to liken yourself unto those who lead you.
8. How has this spiritual journey altered your perspective on life and purpose?
The spirit teachers presenting these messages are with us in real time. We are not alone in this journey that we call life. Not only do these spirit teachers refer to themselves in first person but they reference on numerous occasions that where they are is “here.” This line from a message in Volume Two is telling.
“There are others here who wish to make themselves known to you so I will step aside at this time. My love and devotion follows you as you trod onward but ever faithful to your goal.”
My question is, who are the others and where is here? Where are you in relation to us on this physical plane? One line is a message addressed to me said, “Blessed is he who remains always in understanding of his calling.” I am striving to fulfill my calling each day.
9. Why do you believe that there is no true death and that we never really die?
There is no death. We never really die. It is just graduation. We ride around in these bodies the way we ride around in our cars. These bodies are just a vehicle to negotiate this physical plane. We have brought with us in this lifetime our spirit, our consciousness, and our personality to engage, learn, and accomplish. We have been assigned to a certain set of parents in a certain social station for what we are to learn and deal with in this lifetime. Every lifetime is an opportunity. This is how we grow and move forward in existence.
