How to use writing to manifest your dreams and goals

By Kristin Savage

People have used journaling as a way to manifest their dreams for centuries. Many of them have witnessed how journaling has allowed them to manifest all of their dreams, to the point where they have helped their friends and relatives to engage in journaling as well.  If you’d like to engage in journaling as well, here are some of the tips on how to use it to manifest your dreams.

1. Practicing gratitude

Journaling about gratitude is the best technique as gratitude is the biggest accelerator of your dreams. Open up the journal, on the left side, write down all the things you feel grateful for now, the things that are present in your life by starting the sentence as follows: “I am grateful now that…-insert the things, people and circumstances currently present that you are grateful for-.” The feeling of gratitude in your heart is truly important. Moving on, on the right side of the page, you can write the things that you want, be it physical or nonphysical (i.e. a loving relationship with your family and friends), but the magic happens now: you write them in the same format as the list on the left, in present tense and with the same format, feeling an intense gratitude in your heart as if you already had all of that.

Estelle Leotard, contributing writer at TopEssayWriting and GrabMyEssay, adds: “Most people underestimate the colossal power of writing. The writing process has the capacity to impact a person from its deepest levels all the way to the surface. And no one is immune.”

2. Find inspiration

Inspirations are ideas that come with an amazing positive feeling. When are struck with a bolt inspiration, not only should you write it down, but also take urgent steps to make it happen. Your intuition and positive feelings are what will determine if that thought is a true inspiration or not. It is advisable to pay close attention to these as they are amazing attractors of success in your life.

3. Formulate ideas

On different occasions, you might get simple ideas that might not have a strong positive boost as an inspiration, but it is important to capture them too. Furthermore, it would be good to keep them in a special section for further analysis. You should go back to this section once you have collected more ideas and then rate them, prioritize, organize them and decide regarding their possibility of manifestation. If these are not worthy of your time, simply discard them and come up with new ones, not every idea should be realized.

Diana Adjadj, editor at ClassyEssay, explains: “Writing regularly teaches us to formulate our ideas and thoughts clearly. Once you’re written something down, you actually gave it life and you’ve drawn the first contours of the understanding of that concept.”

4. Use the power of affirmations

These are positive statements that lead towards empowerment, usually written with an optimistic tone. For example, if you would like to lose weight, you would say something like this ”I have a beautiful and healthy body” rather than “I want to lose all the excess weight.”  The important thing is to keep the sentences positive and frame the syntax like you’re already there.

5. Learning and remembering life lessons

Life is generally about learning and applying lessons that make us better individuals, better people. Capture your lessons to improve your life each day. Go back and review them when the same lesson shows up once again. Remember that life will continue to give you the same lessons over and over again until you finally learn them. Writing them down could make the difference between “learning it” and not.

Another great tool to manifest your deepest desires through writing are vision boards. Your vision board is actually a visualization of everything you want to be, do, and have in the future. It’s your blank canvas, blank paper, where you can post images, quotes, affirmations or/and drawings of anything you want to create and manifest in your life.

That being said, manifesting is the ultimate goal of any vision board. The true measurement of success for your vision board is whether the things you want became a reality or not. Here are some of the manifesting tips that will be truly useful in creating your vision board.

  • Ask: Set your intention towards what you want. The clearer you are regarding what you want, the better you can “ask” for it and manifest it into your everyday life.
  • Believe: Trust that the actual process will do you good. Trust is a powerful tool.  Fears regarding whether you can create your reality will only decrease your ability to be truly engaged in your future and plans.
  • Receive: Allow the change to be present in your life. Start acting as if your goal is inevitable and it will become such.

Here’s where your vision board actually comes to the scene. The second you know what you want to manifest, it’s time to solidify the idea in your mind with a vision board. Your vision board should be used to visualize the end result of achieving your goal or goals. Envision what your life actually looks like. Imagine what your new daily schedule would be like. Imagine the people around you. Imagine your feelings due to the change. Imagine what types of things you’ll be doing. That is how you can use vision boards for your successful manifesting.

Conclusion

As we mentioned at the very beginning, manifestation is a great power you can use to improve your life. However, the important is to know how. We hope this article will help you get a better insight into some of the manifesting techniques, and start using them to your benefit.
