Oprah on How to use The Secret to Follow Your Passion

Yesterday, Oprah did a show on the movie, The Secret. (www.thesecret.tv)  The Secret is a ground breaking film that has changed the lives of millions of people and is helping to transform the planet by revealing The Secret to the world.

The Secret is the Law of Attraction.  The Law of Attraction simply states that like attracts to like . . .  whatever you are focusing on consciously or unconsciously will begin to attract into your life.  It is a true Law because it cannot be broken, never changes, and is always at work.  It is responsible for attracting everything into ones life.

This knowledge is very powerful because once you know this you can use the Law of Attraction to begin attracting into your life whatever it is that you desire.  Oprah had guests on her show who explained how The Secret helped them make millions of dollars, save their marriage, have better sex, have perfect health and experience a sense of peace, joy and fulfillment that they have never experienced before.  Anyone can begin to use the Law of Attraction today by going through a simple 3 step process: Ask, Believe, Receive.

1.  Ask

Be very clear as to what it is that you want in your life.  Instead of focusing on what you don’t want to happen, focus on what it is that you want.  For example, the guests on Oprah mentioned that instead of focusing on getting out of debt, they focused on experiencing financial freedom.  Focusing on getting out of debt will attract more debt because the focus is on debt.  Whereas focusing on financial freedom attracts more money and financial freedom.  They said the same thing works for health too. For example, instead of focusing on not being fat, focus on having perfect health and seeing the beauty that is within you manifesting itself in your outward appearance.  This principle can work for any aspect of ones life

2.  Believe

The Law of Attraction goes beyond ordinary positive thinking.  In order to attract what you want into your life, the guests said that your thoughts, feelings and actions must all three be in alignment.  That is why is so important to truly believe you deserve to attract what you want into your life and that these good things will actually happen.  They spoke about a powerful visualization technique where one not only visualizes what they desire, but also feels how good it will feel when they begin to attract that into their life.

The action part should come easily after your thoughts and feelings are in alignment.  Additionally, just by focusing on what you want to attract into your life and feeling how good that will feel when it happens, you will actually begin to attract the right people, opportunities and events into your life to help you achieve your desires and your intuition will be guiding you along the way to take the necessary actions.

You don’t need a plan for the Law of Attraction to be effective.  All you need is a dream, passion, or inspired idea inside of you guiding you to the next opportunity.  Remember, Dr. Martin Luther King said,

“I have a dream .  . .”  He did not say “I have a plan”.  First comes the dream and then the plan will reveal itself one step at a time along the way.

3. Receive

The Law of Attraction states that you will attract whatever you are focusing your attention on.  Therefore, whatever you are grateful for will begin to expand and you will begin to attract and receive more of that into your life.  One of the guests, James Ray, put it perfectly when he stated, “Energy flows where attention goes”.  Just by placing your attention on what you are grateful for right now, you will actually begin to attract more reasons, people, and circumstances to be grateful for in the future. . .

This reminds me of a Catholic-based story I once heard about Jesus calling on the disciples. Forgive me for not remembering the exact story- it was the message that stuck with me – something along the lines of: Jesus doesn’t call the ready, he calls the willing”.

That message, similar to what you’re saying with regards to MLK, is something that pops in my mind when faced with a big decision. It doesn’t matter if I’m ready so much as, am I willing?

I read similar article also named Oprah on How to use The Secret to Follow Your Passion, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
