Jim Carrey on transformational entertainment
Jim Carrey introduced Eckhart Tolle at the 2009 Inaugural GATE Event (Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment). In his introduction, he talked about the emergence of transformational media and how the majority of the news and entertainment is not representative of what people want or what the world is like. Instead, he offered a hopeful and positive outlook on the future of the world, media and entertainment and used Eckhart Tolle TV as an example of a different type of medium that provides transformational entertainment.

Hi Matt. I love the concept of “transformational entertainment.” It’s a lovely description of the kind of entertainment and information that many people hunger for. Our souls need spiritual nourishment and people like Eckhart Tolle feeds our souls with the spiritual food we need. I’m happy to see Jim Carey introducing Eckhart in his delightful and witty manner. I agree with Jim that it will truly be a joy and a delight to have transformational entertainment 24/7 on or computers and on our TV sets. It will transform the world
Blessings,
Phyllis

Phyllis – Yeah, I agree with you…I love the concept of transformational entertainment and I really like how Jim Carrey says that he is the audience meaning that there really is an audience of people out there who really want to watch transformational entertainment!

Cool post! How much stuff did you have to look up in order to write this one? I can tell you put some work in.

Dear Matt…
After watching Jim Carrey’s speech, I now think he might be ready to read my book.
“The Logic of God – A Divine Cosmic Joke”
The second half of the book is written around movies and plays and includes some of Carreys films.
Perhaps you could forward this information on to ‘his people’ and see if he is interested.
Namaste

Help me help South Africa…
Dear Friends
I’m the acquisitions co-ordinator of an independent television station that
broadcasts through the Western Cape. We are based in Cape Town, South Africa
and are registered under the name Cape Town TV. We are a non-profit community TV station.
As we are a free-to-air-channel, anyone with a TV set and aerial can tune into Cape Town TV (CTV). We are committed to broadcasting content that showcases local talent, strengthens communities,
promotes freedom of expression and access to information. CTV aims to empower
people with both knowledge and the ability to tell their own stories. I think that you could prove a valuable tool in ensuring that we attain this goal. We currently reach an estimated 1.3 million people. If you have any content available for broadcast please let me know. As we are a non-profit organisation, we cannot pay a licensing fee. We do however broadcast non-exclusively, meaning that you could still sell this footage or alternatively have it broadcast on other stations concurrently. For more information you could refer to our website (www.capetowntv.org). I look forward to hearing from you shortly.
Send your DVD’s, as well as a signed
Letter of Consent, allowing Cape Town TV permission to broadcast the
content, non-exclusively, and for a period of 24months to:
