The “Grand-daddy of Quantum weirdness”
The cartoon below attempts to explain the ‘observer effect’ using animated quantum physics. If you liked What the Bleep, then you will love this cartoon. It uses quantum physics to show that when we change the way we look at things, the things we look at begin to change. Scientists still do not know exactly why, but when a wave function is not observed it remains a wave. However, when a wave is observed, it turns into a particle.
Many personal development authors, theologians, and quantum physicists cite this research as a scientific explanation for the law of attraction, power of intention or more traditionally why prayer can lead to unexplainable healing. It is unclear to what extent our thoughts, intentions, prayers, and consciousness impact our physical reality; however, it is clear and has been shown with double blind experiments that what is held in the mind does impact our physical reality and also tends to manifest in our life when the conditions are appropriate.

That was sooo interesting! The cartoonish aspect made it understandable.
