Last night, the Country Music Association Awards (CMA Awards) took place honoring today’s top country music stars.  George Strait won single of the year with the song, “I Saw God Today.” Strait also won album of the year, making him the act with the most awards in the history of the Country Music Association Awards with 22 total.  Strait thanked his songwriters for “letting me sing such a beautiful song” after “I Saw God Today” won song of the year.

The song celebrates the miracle of birth.  It is about a father reflecting on the beauty of life in his newborn baby.  The song is below with images that correspond to the lyrics.
